Remember Slavery

Every year on 25 March, the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade offers the opportunity to honour those who suffered and died at the hands of the brutal slavery system. The International Day also aims to raise awareness about the dangers of racism and prejudice today.

This exhibit, displayed at UN Information Centres all over the world, was designed in three languages and translated to Dutch and Russian. The design, inspired by African kente textile pattern, later became the updated brand for the program in six languages.

The photos on this page are from Yerevan, Brussels, New Delhi and Lagos.
