International Day of Peace
Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September.
The theme for 2016 was “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.” Having worked with the flat icons for a long time, it was challenging to come up with a poster that used the icons in a dynamic way. The idea for the design was for all these goals to come together to catalyst change.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals were unanimously adopted by the 193 Member States of the United Nations at an historic summit of the world’s leaders in New York in September 2015.
The project involved social media assets, posters and postcards in six languages; banners and printed program.
